It was a beautiful morning in Mercer Island. I was there to interview Trina Westerlund, the CEO and Founder of Children’s Institute for Learning Differences (CHILD) for the Puget Sound Business Journal’s video “Best Workplaces.” There was another film crew there because they are making a one year documentary of the life and times of this organization. Trina told me some great stories about how she started the non-profit 33 years ago with five children.
